Lead Product Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Product Engineer to lead our product development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in managing cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating a product roadmap and driving execution
  • Serving as a thought leader and mentor on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products
  • Identifying and deploying the right tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to help engineers do their work faster and solve technology problems more effectively
  • Responsible for product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed time frames
  • Own all NFRs (non-functional requirements) for products
  • Contribute to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members

Key qualifications include:

  • 12-20 years of relevant experience in PDCs (Product Development Companies)
  • Well-versed with Agile software development and management methods
  • Adept at using off-the-shelf software components
  • Value progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers
  • Hands-on and extremely confident with Typescript
  • Experienced with JavaScript based front-end framework like React, Vue, Angular or Svelte and back-end like Node.js
  • Well-versed service-oriented architecture and built and deployed RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints
  • Built and shipped features for high-traffic web applications and mobile applications
  • Good with RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB
  • Familiar with using observability tools to identify and isolate problems
  • Passionate about working together with a team to solve customer problems
  • Excited about teaching and mentoring team members
  • Good command of written and spoken English
