Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality testing services in a Mainframe environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, analyzing logs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. You will also be required to work closely with developers to analyze COBOL programs and identify input/output files.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing life cycle (STLC) processes and methodologies, including Agile. They will also have experience with editing JCL, working with file layouts, and verifying database outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and execute test cases, including data preparation and execution
• Analyze logs and provide root cause analysis for issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects
• Work closely with developers to analyze COBOL programs and identify input/output files
• Participate in capability building and upskilling programs, contribute towards training programs in practice

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in testing life cycle process
• Strong knowledge of STLC processes and methodologies, including Agile
• Experience with editing JCL and working with file layouts
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Others:
• Must have good knowledge in editing JCL or create JCL to submit the Test Batch Jobs
• Should be aware of TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe
• Able to edit Mainframe files using Layouts/Copybooks using Fileaid to modify data according to testing requirements
• Verify the Database in DB2 or output files to verify the outputs
