Climatological Leadership Role

• Description:
• The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Climatologist with extensive experience in climatology and weather modeling, as well as strong technical skills. They should have a proven track record of publications or operational contributions in the field.
• Responsibilities:
• Data & Modeling: Curate and analyze climate datasets, develop methodologies for Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (QPE) and Quantitative Current Estimation (QCE), guide assimilation of rainfall, currents, waves, and tide datasets into unified models.
• Forecasting & Validation: Collaborate on the design of AI-driven forecasts, establish skill metrics and validation frameworks against gauges and station networks, support integration of aviation climatology.
• Domain Leadership: Mentor teams on climatological best practices, advise on extreme events, represent WeatherGuard in collaborations with international climate centers.
• Impact & Translation: Translate scientific outputs into actionable insights for various stakeholders, shape dashboards to reflect climatological reliability.
