Job Title: Lead Azure Data Engineer

This is an opportunity to join our organization as a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with expertise in Azure and Databricks. The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.\
  • Work with Databricks Asset Bundles for CI/CD and environment management.\
  • Build scalable ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services.\
  • Continuously adopt and apply new Databricks features to accelerate delivery.\
  • Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability.\
  • Apply software engineering best practices to ensure a robust and maintainable data ecosystem.\
  • Mentor team members to improve overall team productivity and technical capability.\
  • Deliver results in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround expectations.\
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architectures and track record of efficient delivery.\
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with shared goals and objectives.\
  • Hands-on problem solver with efficiency-driven mindset.\
  • Results-oriented individual with high motivation and proactive approach.\
  • Strong communicator with ability to share knowledge and mentor effectively.\
  • Team-first approach driving collective improvement and efficiency.\
  • Experience with AI-driven development tools to accelerate coding and improve productivity.\
  • Exposure to Generative AI in Databricks – good to have.\
  • Must have 5–6 hours daily overlap with USA team (EST time zone) for collaboration.\
