SAP Project Manager Job Description

As a seasoned SAP project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing full project life-cycles from initiation to completion. This includes detailed planning, ensuring scope, timelines, and resource allocation are accurately managed.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Collaborating with senior management, client teams, and vendors to ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, as well as handling scope or cost changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing regular status updates and conducting post-project reviews to ensure continuous improvement and growth.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP functional consulting, with at least 2 years of project management experience.
  • A strong understanding of SAP modules, particularly FICO, SD, and MM.
  • Excellent project management skills, including PMP/Prince2 certification.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to motivate teams and stay organized in challenging international environments.
