AS400 Professional Opportunities

We are seeking a skilled AS400 professional to contribute to our team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex applications on the AS400 platform, utilizing their expertise in RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2 technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications on the AS400 platform.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Required Skills:

  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience in development industry with exposure to the complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
  2. Extensive knowledge of AS400 technology, ILE, including modular programming in ILE-RPG, modules, and service programs.
  3. Appreciation and knowledge of effort estimation, unit testing, and writing comprehensive unit test cases/plans.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  1. Experience in troubleshooting during various phases of development.
  2. Reasonable working experience of coding new and changing complex CL programs.
  3. Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
  4. Good English communication and experience in a multi-culture work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the insurance domain, preferably in life insurance.
  2. Ability to work as part of a larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.
  3. Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  4. Self-motivated, flexible, responsible, and a desire for quality.
