Job Title: Data Governance Lead

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Role Overview:
  • Data Governance Lead at Tredence Inc.
  • Build and support the tools & technology required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement data governance programs using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • Develop solutions for data governance in these tools to enable data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Support implementing a solution for Data Cataloging with a Data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • Build custom integrations between the Data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support migrating from existing data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a Data Governance tool.
  • Implement Workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate Data Governance workflows for data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors.
  • Track, investigate and correct data quality issues in a Data Governance tool and set up data quality rules for data validation and standardization.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. for Data Governance implementation.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices and approaches related to data protection.
  • Certifications on these tools is a plus.
