Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assurance Senior Associate to join our team. As a seasoned professional in the accounting and auditing field, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related IFRS or GAAP and GAAS issues;
  • Developing and demonstrating an understanding of our audit approach, methodology and tools;
  • Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with our audit methodology based overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed;
  • Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discussing with engagement teams to solve issues that arise;
  • Researching technical accounting issues;
  • Developing industry expertise;
  • Preparing audit reports, and management letters;
  • Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhering to the code of ethics while on engagements;
  • Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm;
  • Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicating effectively with RSM audit professionals;
  • Providing supervision and development training for associates;
  • Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients;
  • Providing timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables;
  • Ensuring professional development through ongoing education;
  • Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams; demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative and timely completion of work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/MBA;
  • Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA;
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field specifically TMT industry;
  • Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS;
  • Strong data analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint;
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States-based engagement teams.
