Engineering Manager Job in Life Sciences

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering squad and drive the development of scalable, cloud-native applications that support healthcare workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and drive the development of applications that ensure compliance, security, and safe handling of sensitive clinical data.
  • Champion best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps.
  • Lead a team of engineers focused on advancing clinical and diagnostic solutions that measurably improve health outcomes.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow engineers into strong ICs and future leaders while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, patient impact, and engineering excellence.
  • Ensure platform readiness across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-first deployments.
  • Lead integration with EMRs, PACS, LIS/LIMS, and healthcare IT standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of software engineering experience, including 2-3 years in engineering leadership.
  • Hands-on experience in Full Stack or Backend development with technologies such as React, Python, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong expertise in building cloud-native applications in a containerized environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in life sciences, clinical systems, or diagnostics.
  • Exposure to working with RIS, PACS, EMR/EHR, MDT systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks.
