Job Title: Strategic Data Lead

We are seeking an experienced data professional to lead our data engineering team in developing innovative solutions for business growth.

This role requires a deep understanding of data ecosystems, systems, and platforms to optimize them for business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive business outcomes.
  2. Build consolidated views using disparate data sources to provide actionable insights.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business pain points and develop solutions.
  4. Leverage data and domain expertise to conceptualize and deliver projects with specific revenue potential.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or an engineering discipline.
  • 10-12 years of experience in data engineering and transformation, with expertise in enterprise-wide reporting systems and dashboard development.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience, handling a minimum team size of 2-3 analysts.
  • Problem-solving skills within a corporate IT environment.
  • Ability to think independently and define KPIs that align with business strategy and goals.
Technical Skills
  • Data Engineering and transformation skills - SQL or Oracle.
  • Data Visualization - Power BI is a must-have; Tableau or Qlik is a good-to-have.
  • Exposure and familiarity with cloud platforms like Databricks on Azure and AWS.
  • Ability to optimize data pipelines for complex data transformations.
People and Team
  • Institutionalize business and domain knowledge through knowledge management principles and techniques.
  • Coach and mentor the team on a day-to-day basis to enhance their domain knowledge and business understanding.
  • Build technical capability for self and the team, starting with AWS data bricks and other cloud technologies required to deliver solutions.
Soft Skills
  • Understanding requirements, excellent communication skills, and stakeholder management are crucial.
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way.
