Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

This position involves handling machine shop maintenance tasks independently, including grinding, turning, and machining center operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine shop maintenance, precision machining, and CNC/PLC control systems for grinding, turning, milling, and machining center operations.

The role requires proficiency in Fanuc and Siemens CNC/PLC control systems, as well as expertise in CNC and PLC maintenance, programming, and parameter updating. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to configure software/hardware, update CNC parameters, and implement predictive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Handling machine shop maintenance tasks independently, including crank shaft, cam shaft, gear machining, and precision machining.
  • Experience with grinding machines, turning centers, machining centers, induction hardening, and gantry maintenance.
  • CNC and PLC maintenance, programming, and parameter updating.
  • Understanding of breakdown, preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance, and measuring parameters like MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
  • Familiarity with capturing predictive data for critical machines and maintaining a good vendor network for repairing PLC/CNC cards, drives, PCBs.
  • Experience with gantry maintenance, induction hardening, heat treatment processes, and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of scales, encoders, drives, spindle drives, power supply drives, and other related equipment.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A strong background in electrical/electronics engineering.
  • Experience with machine shop maintenance, precision machining, and CNC/PLC control systems.
  • Proficiency in Fanuc and Siemens CNC/PLC control systems.
  • Expertise in CNC and PLC maintenance, programming, and parameter updating.
  • Ability to configure software/hardware, update CNC parameters, and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
