Job Summary">

At this company, we are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This role involves performing various types of testing to ensure the quality of software for our optical metrology systems.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in software quality assurance and be passionate about quality and taking ownership.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Performing integration testing for hardware/software systems, system interface testing, functional testing for software services/modules, regression and benchmarking testing for system performance etc.
  2. Covering the end-to-end metrology solution workflow from operating optical metrology tools in acquiring measure data, preparing and setting up recipes for measurement, to producing thin film/OCD metrology solutions.
  3. Collaborating closely with product, hardware, software, application, characterization team in designing SQA testing strategies and plans based on product requirements, system specifications and technical design documents.
  4. Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  5. Planning, coordinating and executing testing activities to meet product release schedules and requirements.
  6. Designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation capabilities to improve the efficiency and coverage to SQA testing.
  7. Developing, maintaining and improving testing suites/processes for various purposes such as feature testing, regression testing, release testing and benchmarking etc.
  8. Documenting software defects and working closely with software teams in addressing them.
  9. Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  10. Identifying software quality gaps and providing solutions.
  11. Staying up-to-date with and actively adopting new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or a related discipline.
  • Prior work experience in software quality assurance is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: numerical analysis, machine learning, software development.
  • ISTQB Certification is a plus.
