Big Data Solutions Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions on the cloud.

This role requires a deep understanding of big data technologies, cloud architecture, and best practices in data engineering to ensure seamless integration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Ingestion & Processing: Design, develop, and maintain big data solutions using cloud-based services. Implement efficient data processing architectures, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Security & Scalability: Ensure the security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of data solutions by implementing best practices and monitoring performance.
  • ETL Pipelines: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to process large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Workflow Optimization: Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data solutions and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in big data engineering, with proven expertise in cloud-based services such as Amazon EMR, S3, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
