Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Python, Java, Selenium, Web API testing, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building automation frameworks, ensuring application reliability, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines to deliver high-quality software at speed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Python/Java and Selenium WebDriver. They will automate functional, regression, API, and integration test cases, and perform REST/SOAP Web API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Python requests libraries.

In addition, the candidate will collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar). They will ensure testing is aligned with Agile/DevOps principles and shift-left testing strategies, and conduct performance, compatibility, and reliability testing where applicable.

The successful candidate will also write and review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for coverage and traceability. They will support DevOps testing by automating infrastructure validation, smoke testing in cloud deployments, and monitoring pipelines. Finally, they will participate in code reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Programming: Strong hands-on experience in Python (mandatory) and working knowledge of Java.
  • Automation: Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Pytest, or Robot Framework.
  • Web API Testing: Experience with RESTful/SOAP APIs, using Postman, Rest Assured, or Python libraries.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
  • Version Control: Git/GitHub/GitLab experience is essential.
  • Database Testing: Knowledge of SQL queries for data validation.
  • Agile Practices: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
