This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in DevOps engineering with experience in cloud computing and infrastructure management.
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining highly available and scalable AWS infrastructure and services within a managed service environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, and other related technologies. In addition, they should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain highly available and scalable AWS infrastructure and services within a managed service environment.
- Manage deployments in various environments such as QA, Stage, and Production, engaging stakeholders as required and adhering to SLAs.
- Build, deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters through automation like Terraform.
- Institute infrastructure as code, security and process automation, and automation of routine maintenance tasks.
- Create and deliver knowledge-sharing presentations and documentation.
- Participate in and lead war-room critical outage calls and ensure the RCA process is implemented.
- Cross-location team management to create a self-managed team, support skill development, and provide growth paths.
- Customer management for daily calls to discuss progress updates, weekly and monthly status reporting.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of production operations and maintenance experience.
- Experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, and other related technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of AI tools and Savant with Amazon SageMaker Services.
- Experience with source control and management tools like Git.
