About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Colgate-Palmolive Company. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data ingestion tools, ensuring the smooth flow of data into our warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor existing data ingestion tools in the organization
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery
  • Work with partners to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Collaborate and communicate across teams, departments, and segments
  • Create and update documentation for architectural governance and support
  • Assist in educating others on standard processes surrounding data ingestion work
  • Ensure ideal utilization of warehouses with respect to cost

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant
  • 3-4 years of experience with data ingestion tools and data pipeline support work
  • Working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring, and various databases
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or another quantitative field
  • Experience with data ingestion tools like HVR, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BTP solution, Airbyte, and open-source ingestion tools
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud services, object-oriented/object function scripting languages, and big data tools
