Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of printed circuit board (PCB) design principles and experience with Altium and Cadstar software.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality PCB designs, including schematic entries, layout design, and Gerber release. They must have a solid grasp of datasheets, symbols, and footprint creation for complex components and standard catalogue parts.
In this role, you will utilize your hands-on experience in manual and high-speed layout designs to create efficient PCB layouts that meet the requirements of Control & Power electronics products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate schematic entries in Altium and Cadstar for multilayer PCBs.
- Design PCBs from library creation to Gerber release for fabrication.
- Develop schematic symbols and footprints for complex components and libraries.
- Enter schematics, perform manual and high-speed layout design.
- Configure constraints settings, mechanical considerations, and stack-up designs.
- Apply knowledge of creepage/clearances and isolations, copper thickness calculations.
- Consider EMI/EMC factors.
- Take into account DFx (DFm, DFa, DFt) considerations.
- Understand DRC and Gerber generation processes.
- Familiarize yourself with panel drawing design considerations.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal designers, and NPI line personnel.
- Interact with PCB fabrication vendors to resolve engineering queries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical /Electronics/ Communication Engineering.
- 2-6 years of experience in PCB design.
