Job Title:

Senior Big Data Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Big Data Specialist to help us design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Spark
  • Develop expertise in Spark SQL, DataFrame, and RDD APIs for complex business logic implementation
  • Proficient programming skills in Python with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, data quality, and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with modern big data ecosystem, distributed data processing, storage systems, and workflow orchestration tools
  • Cloud data platform experience preferably on AWS, with expertise in cloud services such as S3, Glue/EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, and other cloud data warehouses
  • Ability to choose and apply the right Spark APIs for performance-efficient implementation of business logic at scale

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in big data engineering with strong experience in Spark
  • Hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines using Spark
  • Strong proficiency in Spark SQL, DataFrame, and RDD APIs
  • Proficient programming skills in Python
  • Solid coding skills in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices for data transformation, data quality, and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with current big data landscape including distributed data processing, storage systems, and workflow orchestration tools
