IT Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned IT leader to drive the strategy and direction of our organization's technology infrastructure.

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Oversee desktop engineering teams for end-user support and smooth operation of desktop computing resources.
• Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures to maintain system security and reliability.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide effective technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Plan and execute IT projects within budget and on schedule.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and integrate relevant advancements into our IT strategy.

• Advanced experience managing virtualized environments with expertise in hypervisor technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Expertise in software & hardware troubleshooting across various systems and platforms.
• Strong experience in network architecture and internet connectivity, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
• Proficient in Active Directory management, including group policies, user provisioning, and authentication services.
• Excellent network administration skills, including configuring routers, switches, firewalls (Palo Alto), and VPNs.
• Experienced in server management, including installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, and Ubuntu servers.
• Familiarity with AI/ML configurations (CUDA) to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
• Understanding and familiarity with GPU / HPC servers.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks and languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with development teams.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (Azure AD, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).

• Project management experience with a track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

• Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, ITIL) are preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
