About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for preparing multi-disciplinary cost estimates for various projects using appropriate tools and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects, considering various factors and assumptions.
  • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality estimates and resolve any queries or discrepancies.
  • Document all assumptions and clarifications to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support project teams in identifying and evaluating capital efficiency opportunities and estimating risks.
  • Perform cost reconciliation and analysis using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices, and component benchmarking.
  • Mentor and review estimates prepared by other cost engineers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with scope of work.
  • Contribute to the Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience in EPC or Project Management in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong presentation skills in English and MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to clearly convey recommendations to project team members and company leadership.
  • Ability to travel internationally as per business needs.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills.
  • Able to work well with others in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong MS Excel and presentation skills.
  • Will to relocate to Bengaluru.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience interfacing with contractors or teams remotely across multiple countries.
  • Experience in training/mentoring new employees.
