ETL Tester

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in Chennai as an ETL Tester. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data warehousing solutions.

As an ETL Tester, you will work closely with developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and SQL, as well as experience working in an Agile environment.

The role requires working in a 1 PM to 10 PM shift, 5 days a week, in our ODC (Offshore Development Center) environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our data, which is essential for informed decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
  • Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
  • Collaborate with developers and data analysts to resolve data quality issues.
  • Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Analyze data warehouse schemas and data models to understand data relationships and dependencies.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not introduce new defects.


Required skills and qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in ETL testing.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
