Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Payment Entry Specialist. As a Payment Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payments in a timely manner.

This includes:

  • Posting payments to our practice management system
  • Recording batch totals with date and initials on payment receipt spreadsheets
  • Balancing batches and running transaction reports
  • Verifying all EFT deposits and scanned checks have been posted by month end
  • Properly communicating and documenting payment denials in the practice management system and to the appropriate billing representative
  • Identifying any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicating this to the appropriate billing representative
  • Batching patient statements electronically on a weekly basis
  • Creating invoices for attorney fees and communicating with physician offices upon receipt of payment

We require a minimum of two years of experience in Payment Posting. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
