Job Title: Automation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive building management systems, chiller plant automation, fire detection, and security solutions for data centers or industrial projects.
  • Create preliminary designs by understanding project requirements and adhering to relevant codes and standards.
  • Select suitable instruments and devices for building automation, fire alarm, and security system design.
  • Prepare and review basis of design, BMS IO summary, sequence of operations for various systems, and cause & effect matrix for fire alarm systems.
  • Generate detailed drawings for field devices and cable conduit layouts.
  • Develop tender documents with relevant design, technical specifications, material requisition, data sheets, and bill of quantity as per requirement.
  • Evaluate and perform design reviews, participate in team meetings to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, perform squad checks on drawings received from other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation as per design.

Required Skills:

  • Self-driven individual with excellent management and reporting capabilities.
  • Understanding of TIA-942-B Standard for Data Centers.
  • Proficiency in reviewing 3D models using Navisworks.
  • Familiarity with ELV codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of IS / IEC standards.

Software Competency:

  • Application of 3D review software like Navisworks.
  • Application of supporting software like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Competent user of MS Office 365: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
