Lead Role for Capital Expenditure

At Instamart, we are revolutionizing the grocery shopping experience in India.

We are seeking an experienced Capital Expenditure Lead to manage our capital expenditure for new expansion, R&D, and regular operations.

This role involves working closely with our Operations team and Process Excellence teams to understand material requirements, negotiate rates with vendors, and identify cost-saving initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Capex management, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the field. They will possess excellent communication skills, be able to negotiate effectively with vendors, and have a deep understanding of equipment specifications, brands, and vendor management.

  • Manage capital expenditure for Instamart's new expansion, R&D, and regular operations.
  • Work closely with Ops team and Process Excellence teams to understand material requirements.
  • Negotiate rates with vendors and prepare comparison charts.
  • Identify and source various vendors for racking equipment, MEP, and plumbing.
  • Evaluate vendors on a periodic basis based on cost, quality, time, and service levels.
  • Conduct random quality check audits on all materials purchased from different vendors.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including Store Ops, Process Excellence, R&D, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Manage strategic projects, such as alternate vendor development and e-procurement.
