We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Assistant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of risk assessors, providing high-quality risk assessments, and enhancing the efficiency of the catastrophe modeling process.
The role will involve prioritizing high-value and high-risk locations, formatting and arranging data for model understanding, and ensuring logical checks are in place. You will also analyze exposure databases for completeness and accuracy, and support underwriters with queries and exposure movements.
As a key member of our team, you will contribute to process enhancement and improvement ideas, interpret model results, and provide risk-specific observations to underwriters.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage work allocations, governance of work, and projects.
- Handle internal and client calls, and take care of project-related tasks.
- Maintain exposure databases, analyze information for completeness and accuracy, and provide support to underwriters.
- Contribute to process enhancement and improvement ideas, and provide risk-specific observations to underwriters.
- 6+ years' experience in Cat modelling/Treaty modelling, preferably with insurance/reinsurance experience.
- Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, MS office proficiency.
- Excellent analytical skills, Excel manipulation, functions at a foundation level.
- Good problem-solving skills, Insurance certification, and Insurance projects in dissertation.
- Advance Excel/VBA programming language, Team management skills.
