Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – SIEM Operations

Role Overview:

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's SIEM operations. You will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining the SIEM platform to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain the SIEM platform to meet specific security monitoring and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and customize SIEM rules, filters, and alerts to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to onboard new data sources and integrate logs into the SIEM platform for comprehensive threat analysis.
  • Generate and present regular and ad-hoc reports on SIEM performance, security incidents, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance SIEM capabilities and proactive defense strategies.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in security operations center engineering with a focus on SIEM.
  • Strong understanding of SIEM platforms, their configurations, and customization options.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
