The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Modelling Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for building, developing and running financial models for Solar PV and Energy Storage projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that support project development, bidding, and financing processes.
  • Evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and incorporate relevant assumptions and structures into the financial model used for bidding purposes.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including Development, Project Financing, Finance (Accounting and Tax), EPC, and others, to populate assumptions and structure in the financial model.
  • Support Development, EPC, and Financing teams in running case runs and scenarios to achieve optimal economic benefits and analyze key drivers.
  • Assist model auditors with the model audit process as required.
  • Support lenders with the financial model during the project finance process as required.
  • Take ownership of financial models; provide expertise to the bidding team on all matters related to financial modelling.
  • Maintain and update financial models pre- and post-financial close.
  • Prepare presentations related to financial analysis.
  • Train and supervise junior modellers.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting from a reputable institution.
  • No less than 10 years of experience in building, developing, and running project finance-based financial models.
  • No less than 4-5 years of financial modelling experience in solar/renewable projects.
  • Hands-on execution capability with a can-do attitude and strong passion for financial modelling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage in cross-functional collaboration.
  • A recognized university degree - Bachelor or above.
