We are looking for an experienced developer to lead the development of high-performance server-side logic for our mobile applications.

  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating front-end elements built by your colleagues into the application. To achieve this, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write efficient and testable code
  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  • Design scalable data storage solutions (databases, key-value stores, blob stores)
  • Build reusable libraries for future use

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Python preferably with Django framework
  • Familiarity with some ORM libraries
  • Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Understanding of threading limitations in Python and multi-process architecture
  • Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc.
  • Basic understanding of front-end android technologies
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between systems, servers, and environments
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs using Python and Django
  • Optional NodeJs JavaScript
  • 1-3 years experience in mobile apps
  • Major brownie points for prior experience on video/gaming and preschool kids apps
  • Bonus criteria: B2C Android apps, Video/Gaming apps, Kids/Preschool apps, Education Tech apps
