Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Position

We are seeking a seasoned and skilled Ruby on Rails developer to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in ActiveRecord, PostgreSQL, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Contribute to an agile team environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Take ownership of your deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with ActiveRecord.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL (data modeling, indexing, query optimization).
  • Excellent grasp of OOP principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Preferred/Bonus Skills:
  • Experience or working knowledge of React.js or other front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and real-time features (e.g., ActionCable).
