Remote BIM Trainer and Mentor

A leading provider of education and training in Building Information Modeling (BIM) is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced BIM professional to join our team as a BIM Trainer. This position offers a remote, part-time opportunity for individuals with a passion for BIM and a desire to share their expertise with aspiring professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct engaging and comprehensive BIM training sessions for students enrolled in our academy, developing and delivering curriculum content covering various BIM concepts, software tools, and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop their BIM skills, understanding of workflows, and problem-solving abilities. Offer constructive feedback and support to facilitate their growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to create and enhance training materials, exercises, and assessments to ensure the curriculum remains up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
  • Assist students remotely by answering their questions, addressing technical issues, and providing guidance through virtual communication channels, including discussion forums and video conferencing.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the BIM field. Share industry insights, case studies, and real-world examples with students to provide practical relevance to their learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the field of Building Information Modeling, working on real-world projects. Proficiency in popular BIM software tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, Enscape, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to convey complex BIM concepts in a clear and concise manner. Patience and empathy in guiding students through the learning process.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions or mentoring individuals in the AEC industry. Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve BIM-related challenges. Familiarity with troubleshooting common BIM software issues is preferred.
  • A self-driven and proactive learner who keeps up with the latest BIM technologies, workflows, and industry trends. Relevant certifications and professional development courses are a plus.
