Financial Planning and Analysis Expert

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team at Coxwell. The FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans.
    • Coordinate with various departments to gather budget inputs and assumptions.
    • Prepare and consolidate budget data ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  2. Forecasting:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term and long-term forecasting.
    • Monitor key financial and operational metrics to identify trends and variances.
    • Update forecasts regularly based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
  3. Variance Analysis:
    • Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecasts.
    • Identify key drivers of variances and provide insightful explanations.
    • Present variance analysis reports to management with actionable recommendations.
  4. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
    • Develop dashboards and visualizations to present financial data effectively.
  5. Performance Management:
    • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
    • Support management in decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  6. Ad Hoc Analysis:
    • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support.
  7. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
    • Implement best practices and improve financial planning and analysis methodologies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and experience with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
