Test Validation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Test Validation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, validating large datasets, and ensuring quality across cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and reports.
  • Perform data-level validations: schema checks, completeness, integrity, and freshness validations.
  • Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform services (especially BigQuery) for data validation.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for testing large data sets.
  • Automate test cases using Google Cloud services like Cloud Composer (or Apache Airflow), BigQuery and SQL.
  • Monitor Google Cloud cloud logs and build dashboards.
  • Identify, log, and track defects and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.
  • Manage defect triage with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Hands-on data validation skills.
  • Experience with test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery and SQL.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
