Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

This role involves working with raw data to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions across retail and e-commerce channels.

  • Analyse sales performance, inventory levels, customer behaviour, and pricing metrics.
  • Collect, clean, and structure data from various sources including POS, ERP, CRM, Google Analytics, marketplaces, and social platforms.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports using Power BI and Tableau, track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Lead demand forecasting, product evaluation, assortment analysis, and customer segmentation initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to support marketing, merchandising, and supply chain planning strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across all reporting systems.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with 3+ years in retail/wholesale analytics

• Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

• Solid understanding of retail KPIs, sales metrics, and inventory data

• Experience with POS, ERP, and retail analytics platforms

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)

• Experience with retail forecasting and customer segmentation

• Background in omni-channel or e-commerce environments

Preferred qualifications include experience with statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. Additionally, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through data-driven insights and recommendations. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
