Senior Backend Developer Lead

We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer Lead – PHP to drive full stack development, architect scalable solutions, and promote technical excellence across projects. If you excel in working with modern frameworks, eCommerce platforms, and complex integrations, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Position

  • You'll own backend architecture and development, lead a team of engineers, and deliver high-performance applications. You'll work on integrations, custom solutions, and platforms like Magento, WordPress, and Shopify, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead backend development using Laravel and modern PHP frameworks
  • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
  • Manage system integrations via REST APIs, GraphQL, EDI, and third-party services
  • Oversee projects involving Magento, WordPress, Shopify, and related stacks
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and implement best practices
  • Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery
  • Ensure performance optimization, code quality, and effective documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of backend development experience in PHP, with deep expertise in Laravel
  • Experience working with Magento, WordPress, and Shopify
  • Strong background in system integrations using APIs (REST, GraphQL), EDI, and webhooks
  • Proficiency in:
  • PHP, Laravel, Java
  • ReactJS, Node.js
  • MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB
  • CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and version control (Git)
  • Cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and excellent team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Flexibility to work in a small company.
