Trend Analysis and Design Development:

  • Conduct in-depth market surveys to understand consumer needs and preferences.
  • Identify emerging trends and patterns in mens ethnicwear, staying current with the latest designs and styles.

Design and Print Production:

  • Develop innovative print designs, colors, and techniques for the brand's product range.
  • Plan unique placements, motifs, and layouts for textile prints, considering factors such as color harmony and visual appeal.

Research and Innovation:

  • Scan, redraw, and alter color ways using software packages, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Create new effects and develop ideas from various sources, including fashion shows, magazines, and online platforms.

Seasonal Design and Planning:

  • Design and develop new prints seasonally, taking into account seasonal trends and consumer preferences.
  • Communicate design direction through concept boards, providing a clear vision for the design team.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving:

  • Liaise with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective problem-solving.
  • Work within deadlines while staying current with trends and production techniques, adapting to changing circumstances as needed.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Graduate/Diploma in design or apparel merchandising, with a focus on mens ethnicwear and textile design.
  • NIFT (Diploma in Textile Design), with a strong understanding of textile production and design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study fashion trends and anticipate consumer appeal, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Decide on a theme for a collection and plan ranges, considering factors such as target audience, pricing, and distribution channels.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Strong understanding of mens ethnicwear and textile design, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
