Vserve Group is a dynamic ecommerce company seeking an experienced Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team. Based in Peenya, Bangalore, this role offers an attractive salary of ₹1,200,000 per annum.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled financial professional to oversee the financial operations of our ecommerce business. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the ecommerce or retail industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, perform regular reconciliations, and timely posting of journal entries.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensure timely processing of invoices and payments, monitor collections, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory accounting, conduct periodic inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Tax Compliance and Audit: Prepare and file sales tax returns, assist with income tax returns, and coordinate with external tax advisors. Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts, monitor budget performance, report on variances, and collaborate with department heads to develop accurate budget projections.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations, develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, and stay current with industry trends and best practices in ecommerce accounting.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proficiency in accounting software, advanced Excel skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
