Mechanical Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Development Engineer to join our PowerDrive Systems organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and releasing components that meet the overall performance requirements of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Electric Driveline and/or Traditional (ICE) Driveline systems and components.
- Interpret and understand component and sub-system design requirements provided by program leads.
- Generate design concepts and create math models independently to support program teams.
- Create part, assembly drawings, and 3D models using Unigraphics NX.
- Perform engineering calculations for components and/or sub-systems.
- Develop thorough knowledge of component drawing, including tolerances with GD&T, and their use in stack-up calculations.
- Conduct Design Release Reviews (DRRs) and create work products (drawings, specifications, etc.) per program timing.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Supplier Development Engineers on technical discussions.
- Implement and understand Product Development Process (PDP) and Engineering Development Framework (EDF).
- Promote component re-use through knowledge of the global component family.
- Review and approve internal and external change requests.
- Provide technical support for component issues arising in validation or warranty.
- Develop cost reduction ideas for respective component families.
- Conduct and document benchmarking and lessons learned reviews.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related engineering work experience in design field.
- Experience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining 2D/3D technical drawings/models using NX CAD Software and PLM knowledge in Teamcenter.
- Demonstrated experience of component and/or subsystem design, development, validation, and release.
- Demonstrated experience in DFMEA.
- Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related engineering work experience in design field.
- Experience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining 2D/3D technical drawings/models using NX CAD Software and PLM knowledge in Teamcenter.
- Experience and/or training in Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience and/or training in APQP.
- Experience and/or training in DFM/DFA.
- Self-directed/self-motivated.
- Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Software/ Hardware and General Training.
