Production Machinist

Machine Shop Specialist Role

A skilled Machine Shop Specialist is needed to operate and maintain complex machinery for high-quality product production. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, experience with machine operation, and strong analytical skills.

Mission-Critical Responsibilities:

• Operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs) to manufacture precision parts and components
• Maintaining machine tools, ensuring they are in optimal working condition through regular inspections and repairs
• Setting up and adjusting machines for efficient production runs, optimizing cycle times and minimizing downtime
• Calculating and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to ensure accurate manufacturing
• Drafting and designing using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols to meet precise specifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI certificate with a focus on machine shop operations
• At least 3 years of experience in machine shop operations, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and materials science
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
