Job Title: AI/ML Analyst Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in analysing business requirements and implementing advanced AI/ML solutions within the oil and gas domain.

The ideal candidate will specialise in exploration, production, operations, maintenance, supply chain, and HSE datasets, acting as a vital bridge between business and IT teams.

This role focuses on applying AI/ML techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision, to extract meaningful insights, generate recommendations, and deliver measurable business outcomes, such as efficiency gains, downtime reduction, cost optimisation, and safety improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing complex business requirements and domain-specific data from E&P O&M supply chain and HSE datasets
  • Translating business problems into technical AI/ML solution designs, including feature engineering and model selection
  • Applying AI/ML algorithms, predictive modelling, anomaly detection, time series forecasting, reinforcement learning to large-scale datasets
  • Implementing MLOps best practices covering deployment, monitoring, containerisation, Docker, Kubernetes, versioning, and lifecycle management
  • Working with big data ecosystems, such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and data platforms SQL NoSQL
  • Ensuring data governance by enforcing data privacy, ethical AI bias mitigation, and explainability using frameworks like SHAP or LIME
  • Collaborating with engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders through requirements planning, documentation, and validation
  • Continuously researching and incorporating emerging AI/ML and cloud technologies AWS Azure GCP into solutions
Qualifications and Skills

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or relevant field

Proven experience 8-10 years in AI/ML roles with strong exposure to oil and gas, E&P reservoir drilling logistics

Hands-on expertise in Python, R, Scala, and ML frameworks TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn

Solid understanding of big data technologies and cloud ML platforms AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP AI Platform

Familiarity with MLOps CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, Docker, Kubernetes

Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

Experience with safety and compliance standards in the oil and gas industry
