Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our field survey team. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting assigned tasks as per defined scope, specifications, and schedule. You will also be responsible for making daily progress reports and submitting Mobilisation and Demobilisation Reports as per standard format.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Testing and preparation of equipment prior to mobilisation.

2. Setting up, configuring, and calibrating all surveying equipment prior to data acquisition.

3. Operation and basic troubleshooting of survey equipment deployed in the field.

4. Data acquisition as per scope, specification, and schedule as briefed by PC/PM.

5. Back-up and custody of all data logged in the field.

6. Following safety rules and safe work practices in the field.

7. Active participation in tool-box meetings and HSE activities in the field.

8. Preparation of mobilisation and demobilisation reports and handing over of the same with all data logged in original to the FSINPVT Survey Manager on demob.

Requirements:

1. Preferably minimum 1-2 years of experience in offshore surveys.

2. B.Sc. with Mathematics/Physics/Geology background and aggregate 55%, or Ex-Navy with minimum of 15 years of service in the Naval hydrographic department or Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering.

3. Good communication skills in English language and good interpersonal skills.

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets. Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/safe working practices. Responsible for using appropriate PPE's. Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe. To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire. To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager. To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
