General Surgeon Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of surgical procedures and be able to make strong clinical judgments under pressure. They should have effective teaching and mentoring skills, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a broad spectrum of general surgical procedures with proficiency
  • Make strong clinical judgments and decisions under pressure
  • Teach and mentor medical students and junior staff effectively
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commit to patient safety and ethical practice

Required Qualifications:

  • MBBS + MS (General Surgery) or equivalent qualifications
  • Registration with the Medical Council or equivalent licensing authority
