**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to join our team. As a key member of our data operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our ETL processes.

About this Role:

  • Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data flows, including data validation, transformation, and reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify large volumes of data across various systems.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and functional requirements.
  • Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and data integrity testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development and data teams for resolution.
  • Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify data flows.
  • Contribute to the automation of data testing processes where applicable.
  • Provide detailed test status updates and participate in defect triage meetings.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.
  • Strong experience in data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.
  • Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for large data sets.
  • Working knowledge of at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, IBM DataStage, Talend, or similar.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in functional, regression, and system integration testing within a data environment.
  • Exposure to reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
