Job Summary

The ETL Tester is a crucial role within our data engineering team, responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and maintenance of our data pipelines.

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can effectively analyze requirements from high-level design documents and low-level design documents.
  • A strong understanding of Hadoop and Mainframe ETL flow is essential, as well as experience in preparing development and user acceptance testing environments in Teradata/Unix/Hadoop.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in estimating space and allocating it to Teradata DB's in System Integration Testing/User Acceptance Testing.
  • Forklifting seed data from production to test environment using Teradata utilities is also a critical skill required.
  • Creating forklift jobs in Mainframe to forklift production data to Mainframe files using Fast-Export Utility and NDM (copy) data files to lower lanes in Mainframe.
  • Setting up ETL jobs in regression efforts and flow execution in Autosys and Mainframe requires attention to detail and technical expertise.
  • Active participation in Design Solution Unit calls and defect review meetings is also expected.
  • Preparing test cases with the help of Test Plans and reviewing with the Dev team is an ongoing responsibility.
  • Effective SQL scripts to validate Change Data Capture logic in Teradata and automation script modules in Tosca to execute regression scripts are key skills.
