Job Summary: A talented CV/ML Software Engineer is needed to develop cutting-edge video capture and processing solutions on Linux. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in modern C++ programming, along with expertise in computer vision and machine learning.

About the Position
  • Design and implement efficient image processing pipelines using classical techniques and computer vision algorithms.
  • Integrate machine learning models for various events such as drowsiness detection, distraction monitoring, and phone usage tracking.
  • Collaborate with data and ML teams to curate datasets, train and evaluate models, and ensure smooth handoffs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and optimize software modules for on-device video capture, preprocessing, inference, and post-processing on Linux.
  2. Implement image processing and computer vision algorithms for tasks like denoising, resizing, color space conversion, and undistortion.
  3. Build and integrate real-time pipelines for live video using GStreamer and FFmpeg, ensuring low latency and memory optimization.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement event logic and thresholding for production alerts.
  5. Utilize knowledge of monocular depth estimation, stereo matching, and structure from motion for accurate distance estimation.
  6. Train and deploy machine learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow, with a focus on augmentation, evaluation, quantization, and pruning.
  7. Stay up-to-date with hardware acceleration trends, including GPU, VPU, and NPU technologies, and YOLO/RT DETR/Lightweight backbones.
  8. Participate in unit testing, static analysis, and code review to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  9. Basic familiarity with MQTT/IoT, message schemas, and over-the-air updates is desired.
