About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to take ownership of valuation process for the bank's trading portfolio, including regular valuations of financial instruments and approval of valuations performed by colleagues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain valuation methodologies for various financial instruments, and implementation of appropriate valuation models based on the characteristics of the financial instruments and market conditions.

  • Analyze market data to assess valuation inputs, assumptions, and potential valuation risks.
  • Prepare and review valuation reports, and support in preparing regulatory filings and financial statements.
  • Provide valuation insights to traders, risk professionals, and senior colleagues, and identify areas for improvement in valuation methodologies and processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in financial instrument valuation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market data analysis.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are highly desirable.
