Job Description

Design innovative sensor systems, taking a holistic approach to product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless product integration.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Develop mechanical designs for multi-gas sensor products from concept to production.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and design products that meet market requirements.
  • Design complete sensor systems, including housings, gas flow architecture, simulation chambers, control units, and portable instruments.
  • Collaborate with electronics, materials, and compliance teams to ensure product integration and optimization.
  • Conduct simulations, tolerance analysis, and failure assessments to optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
  • Choose materials and finishes compatible with gas sensing applications.
  • Support regulatory documentation and interface with suppliers for product rollout.
  • Assist in technical documentation, datasheets, application notes, user manuals, and other collateral creation.
Requirements
  • Take ownership of the mechanical design process.
  • Strong understanding of materials science, electrochemistry, physics, and related sciences.
  • Experience with CAD tools and simulation software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
