Associate Director Information Security Engineering

The Associate Director Information Security Engineer is a leadership role that requires deep technical expertise and thorough knowledge of all aspects of the enterprise.

  • Responsible for overall security architecture within the enterprise
  • Support business objectives by assessing & addressing security risks
  • Develop secure architectures and methods to enable the adoption of technologies / solutions / mitigations
  • Research and propose enhancements to the enterprise's global security program
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical issues related to the security program
  • Leverage existing tools & capabilities to develop novel and innovative solutions to security threats
  • Evaluate industry solutions for suitability within business environment
  • Participate and lead efforts in RFI / RFP process when evaluating security products & solutions
  • Serve as subject matter expert for security when participating in IT projects
  • Document & champion security engineering standards, best practices, and TTPs (tactics, techniques, and practices)
  • Establish, maintain, and further partnerships across the enterprise, to include security, business and infrastructure
Requirements

Typically has 15+ years of experience with large / mid-size Enterprise IT Information Security

  • Excellent knowledge of end user and host security controls and technologies
  • Identity and access management, including role-based access control
  • Excellent Knowledge of multiple operating systems for both personal and server applications
  • Excellent Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking architectures and systems
  • Understanding of server virtualization platforms, cloud architectures and orchestration layers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or other related discipline; or 12 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years' experience; or equivalent experience.

This is a leadership role that demands strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and technical expertise. As an Associate Director of Information Security Engineering, you will play a key role in driving the security strategy and vision for the enterprise.
