Senior Tax Director Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Director to lead our tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and review complex US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041) to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Team Management: Manage and supervise tax staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.
  • Tax Planning Strategies: Develop tax planning strategies for clients, utilizing expertise in US taxation to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Research and Solutions: Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide effective solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
  • Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients, maintaining strong professional relationships built on trust and exceptional service.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership on client service strategies and business growth initiatives to drive success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CPA or EA Certification: Possess a current CPA or EA certification.
  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of US taxation experience, with strong technical expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns.
  • Management Experience: Prior experience managing and mentoring teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and US tax law, as well as proficiency with US tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or equivalent).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
