Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Python and Java (Spring Boot). You will take end-to-end ownership of backend features from design & implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and Java with Spring Boot, as well as proven experience in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. You should also have strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and system design principles.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, AI/LLM, and business stakeholders) to deliver impactful solutions. Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest in backend engineering and LLM-driven application development.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
  • Take end-to-end ownership of backend features from design & implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Design and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Build secure and efficient REST APIs / GraphQL endpoints.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, AI/LLM, and business stakeholders) to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements:
  • Tier 1/Tier 2 Education Background.
  • 35 years of professional backend development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and Java with Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and system design principles.
  • Experience in building scalable, production-grade services.
  • Familiarity or exposure to LLMs or interest in AI/ML-based applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and ownership mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of caching, queues, or event-driven architectures.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and review code for quality.
