About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled chemist to design, synthesize and purify novel fluorescent dyes and advanced organic compounds. Your main responsibility will be to develop multi-step synthetic routes for these compounds and optimize existing protocols for yield, scalability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute complex synthetic routes for fluorescent dyes and related compounds.
  • Enhance existing protocols for yield, scalability and efficiency.
  • Apply advanced purification techniques such as column chromatography, HPLC, recrystallization and preparative TLC.
  • Use NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy to characterize compounds.
  • Analyze spectral data to confirm structure, identity and purity.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory documentation.
  • Collaborate with biology and product development teams to align on project goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with scientific advancements and contribute innovative chemistry solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in organic synthesis (industry experience advantageous).
  • Strong expertise in fluorophore/organic molecule synthesis and purification.
  • Proficiency in flash chromatography, HPLC and advanced purification.
  • Analytical expertise in NMR
